| 課程簡述 | This course is designed to cultivate students' ability to engage in professional communication and oral presentations in English within clinical contexts. Employing practice-oriented materials and theme-based instruction, the course covers common nursing topics such as inpatient assessment, condition reporting, medication education, discharge planning, and family communication. It also introduces internationally recognized frameworks for clinical communication and nursing reporting, such as SBAR and case presentation structures. Through scenario-based simulations and English-speaking exercises, students will select clinically relevant cases to conduct situation simulations, key point summarizations, and oral presentations. They will gain hands-on experience in presentation design and professional English expression. Course assessment includes a midterm SBAR presentation task and a final individual English case presentation, aimed at enhancing practical communication skills applicable to clinical practice, academic settings, and international medical exchange. Teaching strategies include group discussions, demonstrations with hands-on practice, and peer feedback. These methods are designed to guide students in integrating clinical expertise with language skills, fostering familiarity with clinical English and building confidence in delivering professional English communication. |

| 1.Demonstrate an understanding of the importance of professional English communication and oral presentation in clinical practice, and identify common scenarios where these skills are applied. 2.Apply core English vocabulary and commonly used sentence structures related to key medical and nursing topics (e.g., inpatient assessment, medication administration, patient education, and discharge planning) for appropriate expression. 3.Use structured frameworks such as SBAR to effectively deliver clinical reports, handovers, and focused briefings in English. 4.Design clinically relevant and logically organized English presentation content, and effectively utilize visual aids (e.g., PowerPoint) to highlight key points. 5.Deliver case presentations in clear, organized, and professionally appropriate English, demonstrating on-the-spot responsiveness and interactive communication skills. 6.Apply acquired English communication and presentation skills in clinical, educational, and international contexts to enhance confidence and effectiveness in professional expression. |

Oral Presentations (50%) Midterm Report: SBAR Presentation – 5-minute oral presentation — 20% Final Report: Individual Case Presentation – 15-minute individual oral presentation — 30% II.
