課程簡述 This course provides an introduction to corpus linguistics, a methodology that utilizes large collections of linguistic data to investigate language patterns and phenomena. Students will learn how to annotate, and analyze corpora, and gain insights into language variation, discourse analysis, and language acquisition. Through hands-on practical exercises and research projects, students will develop skills in forming a hypothesis, retrieving data closely related to the hypothesis and examining it quantitively and qualitatively with corpus-based investigations.

By the end of this course, students will:
1. Understand the principles and methodology of corpus linguistics.
2. Learn how to annotate, and analyze linguistic corpora.
