課程簡述 Technology represents the framework that underpins company’s future products and manufacturing processes that support these products. It is very important for companies to clearly understand the market and technology trends and select and exploit appropriate technologies for providing their products or services with a competitive edge. It is very important for companies to clearly understand the market and technology trends and select and exploit appropriate technologies for providing their products or services with a competitive edge. This course aims to provide an overview of strategic planning for technologies and products. The main focus is on understanding a set of methods which are critical for the development of technology and product strategy. Students should be able to: (1) understand key concepts and methods, and (2) understand the theories and practices of strategic planning for technologies and products. The lecture will be delivered in a format combining class presentations and classroom discussions. Students will be organized into several study groups for homework, case studies, and research paper presentation.
