課程簡述 先簡要介紹各種常用數值分析分法，如樑-彈簧方法(beam-spring model)、有限元素方法(FEM)與分離元素法(DEM)的差異，之後再進一步說明在地下工程分析中，可以應用的簡要工具或軟體，還有常用於模擬土壤與結構體性質的組成律等等；之後透過案例探討、實際操作及學生與教師的互動，將數值分析在大地工程上的應用課程相關內容分享給同學，並將視學生的接受程度，滾動式的調整課程內容。

對shallow/deep foundation, tunneling, deep excavation and slope design and analyses 有基本概念，然後可以用相對簡單(如EXCEL)或複雜的數值分析方法來評估前述地工結構物的所引致的結構與大地變位與位移；相關的土壤組成律也會予以說明。

學習評量方式
The student has to submit assignments either individually or in a group and 5 assignments have to be submitted in total. Each assignment has 20% of final scores.

Mainly based on the notes and ppt made by the teacher and additional reference papers from various journals will be provided to students to read. Any related reference/literature which students can find and read is very encouraged.
