課程簡述 Community engagement (CE) is high on the Government agenda in the UK, US and Taiwan, and matches the mission of public libraries. This module will be delivered through lectures, class discussion, tutorials, work-based investigation and reports. This module aims to introduce and engage students in the CE agenda; produce students with a firm strategic, practical and theoretical grounding in terms of understanding communities and working with them; and equip students to inform, design, develop and assess CE initiatives in their working environment after graduation.
社區參與很受英國、美國及臺灣政府議程的重視,而且符合公共圖書館的使命。這門課將藉由教師講授、課堂討論、實作及報告方式,來介紹修課的同學有關社區參與的議程、奠定他們在這方面堅固策略性、實務與理論的基礎、加強他們了解社區民眾及與民眾合作,並培養修課的同學於畢業後在職場上具備告知、設計、發展及評量社區參與計畫的技能。
