課程簡述	Pragmatics studies how contexts influence the interpretation of meaning in language. The descriptions and theories of this discipline can help language teachers to teach a foreign language. This course examines the basic concepts, such as implicatures, speech acts, indexes, and politeness, and then demonstrates how to incorporate these concepts and use the awareness of the concepts to language teaching. The focus is on descriptions of the pragmatic phenomena and training pragmatic teaching techniques.
