課程簡述 Industries associates with polymeric materials employ more than half of all chemists and chemical engineers. The polymeric materials divided between biological and non-biological materials are truly indispensable to mankind, being essential to clothing, shelter, transportation, and communication, as well as to the conveniences of mordern living. It is extremely important that education in polymer science keeps pace. To serve this purpose, the following course will be offered to senior undergraduate or graduate students.

In this course, the students are introduced to inherent versatility of the polymerization process to provide a fully systematic treatment of all the types of reactions used to synthesize polymers as well as the key characteristics of those reactions. The introduction of polymerization principles along with the characterization of polymers will further enhance the understanding of the polymer science. This course consists of 8 parts.
