課程簡述 English Literature (II) covers the periods from Romantic, via Victorian and Modernist (WWI), to Post-colonial (since WWII). The range is indeed too wide for this one-year survey course. The goal is to constantly keep the Englishness in view, while not losing sight of its various manifested facets, a result of its interaction and confrontation with major historical issues.
