| 課程簡述 | This course introduces major writers and their works in various periods of American history. Each writer and his or her writing are explored against the broader social, economic, political and cultural context. The goal is to help students see the respective cultural configuration of each historical period and have a better grasp of how American culture has come to what it is today. |

| Requirements: Attendance 30% (Students are not allowed to take the final exam if missing more than 30% of classes. In addition, students are supposed to follow all rules closely or points will be taken off from the final scores.) Exams: 70% (*No makeup exams for any excuses.) |
