Course Content課程內容:

The main contents of this course consist of two parts. The first part is offered by Dr. Lai and the second part is handeled by Dr. Su.

The first-part of this course: Multivariate techniques and structural equation modeling with applications of SAS/SPSS in TM research

Objective of the first part:
The first-part of this course aims to develop doctoral students’ competences and techniques of multivariate techniques and structural equation modeling for conducting TM research. It covers basic concepts, theories, and applications of structural equation modeling (SEM) in social science research, including first-order confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), second-order CFA, basic SEM models, recursive SEM models, multi-group SEM models, multitrait-multimethod (MTMM), etc.

The second-part of the course: Various must learn research methodologies in TM research.

Objective:
The second-part of this course is to help student understand 1) What is a good research and how to do literature review, 2) Using secondary data, 3) Collecting primary data, 4) Analyzing quantitative data, 5) Analyzing qualitative data, 6) Writing up report, 7) how to get a paper published, 8) Selecting and using proper research tools. Seeking to allow students to build a fundamental knowledge for conducting research in academy as well as how to present and disseminate research results to contribute to academy.
