課程簡述	The 2026 itineration of this course will focus on identity and displacement. We will examine literary and artistic productions (fiction, drama, cinema) from across East Asia, with an emphasis on artists and productions that travel across state borders as well as theoretical texts that challenge state-led notions of personhood. Theorists and artists we will be reading include: Rey Chow, Ien Ang, Prasenjit Duara, Gilbert Fong, Gao Xingjian, Kuo Pao Kun, and Peter Chan among others. This course is taught entirely in English and no prior knowledge of Chinese is assumed.
