(中) 研究生物體細胞內各組成成份，如蛋白質、糖類、脂類、核酸等生物大分子的結構和功能，着重於利用化學合成中的方法來解答生物化學所發現的相關問題。 (Eng.) To study the structure and function of chemical constituent in living organisms. Much of biochemistry deals with the structures and functions of cellular components such as proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, nucleic acids and other biomolecules.
