Course Description This course builds on basic calculus concepts and emphasizes techniques relevant to quantitative analysis in business, economics, and management. Topics include definite integrals, the fundamental theorems of calculus, applications to area calculations, exponential and logarithmic functions, techniques of integration, improper integrals, and an introduction to multivariable calculus through partial derivatives and optimization.

Unit Objectives:

Definite Integrals: Understand and compute Riemann sums and definite integrals; apply the Fundamental Theorems of Calculus.
Applications of Integration: Calculate the area of plane regions using integrals.
Exponential and Logarithmic Functions: Analyze natural and general exponential/logarithmic functions and their applications.
Integration Techniques: Develop skills in substitution, integration by parts, trigonometric integrals, rationalizing substitutions, and handling improper integrals.
Multivariable Functions: Learn the basics of partial derivatives and self-learn optimization concepts, including finding maxima and minima for functions of multiple variables.
