課程簡述 This course aims to help students understand the approaches to literature; cultivate their skills in literary appreciation, interpretation, and analysis; and enhance their overall English reading skills. The course centers on the three major genres of literature: fiction, poetry, and drama. The second semester will focus on works of poetry and drama. Literary elements and techniques, such as speaker, situation and setting, theme and tone, language, visual imagery and figures of speech, symbol, the sounds of poetry, the elements of drama, etc., will be introduced, so that students can learn the ways and skills of reading works of literature.
