This seminar course, jointly hosted by the Institute of Genomics and Bioinformatics and the Ph.D. Program in Medical Biotechnology, provides a platform for graduate students to develop essential academic skills. The course focuses on practicing individual presentations, engaging in critical discussions, and fostering cross-disciplinary perspectives. Through analyzing and presenting high-impact research papers, students will gain valuable insights and learn to formulate and refine their own research projects. Features: 1. Midterm and Final Presentations: Each student will deliver an individual presentation at midterm and at the end of the semester, ensuring comprehensive participation and peer learning. 2. High-Quality Paper Selection: Students are required to choose research papers published within the last five years with an impact factor over 3 or ranking in the top 30% of their field. 3. Focused Guidance: First-year students report on a single paper, while senior students integrate two papers, with individual mentoring provided by their advisors. 4. Collaborative Environment: The course fosters a supportive academic environment where students can learn from each other's research and presentation experiences.
